Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Syntrofos ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Syntrofos iOS application collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Information we collect

You can use Syntrofos without creating an account. If you do not create an account, the only data stored is the data on your device.

  • Account email: only if you choose to create an account for cross-device sync.
  • Conversation history: stored locally on your device by default; optionally synced via your private iCloud keychain if you opt in.
  • Crash reports: anonymous, opt-in only. We never include message contents.

2. How we use information

We use information only to provide the service to you: route your messages to the language model you have configured, store your conversation history at your direction, and keep the service running.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your messages to train third-party models.

3. Disclosure

We disclose information only when strictly necessary to operate the service (e.g. cloud inference providers you have chosen, Apple for App Store delivery and iCloud sync) or when required by law.

4. Your rights

You can export or delete your conversation history at any time from inside the app. If you have an account, you can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete; this permanently erases the associated server-side records.

5. Children's privacy

Syntrofos is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. International transfers

Some of our infrastructure providers may process your data outside your country of residence. We require those providers to maintain appropriate safeguards.

7. Changes

We will post changes here. Material changes will be communicated through the app before they take effect.
